International Seminar on Management and monitoring in Mediterranean rivers and wetlands of the Natura 2000 Network: Coordination for the application of the Nature Directives and the Water Framework Directive

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, as a partner of the LIFE MedWetRivers Project, has been responsible for the organization of an international seminar, held at the facilities of the Ministry of Development and Environment of the Junta de Castilla y León between 26 and 28 April applauding the participation of some of the top experts in the management of rivers and wetlands of the Natura 2000 Network.

The Seminar also found the collaboration of TRAGSATEC, the Junta de Castilla y León and the Duero Hydrographic Confederation.

The objective of the seminar was to contribute to the sharing and pursuit for cooperation in the implementation of the Habitats and Birds Directives and the Water Framework Directive in the Mediterranean rivers and wetlands of the Natura 2000 Network. The seminar went on for three days with an eminently practical character, with joint plenary sessions and different working groups for rivers and wetlands [Download Seminar Program]
